Limits and quotas
Overview
Whisperer's main limit is transcription minutes. On the Free plan you get 60 minutes per month. On all paid plans (Start, Pro, Max), minutes are unlimited. Beyond minutes, plans differ in their set of capabilities: knowledge base, multi-screenshot, System Design mode, and access to frontier models.
The minute quota is soft: when it runs out, the current session isn't cut off instantly — it finishes calmly, but you won't be able to start a new session until the quota is replenished (a new month, bonus minutes, or a paid subscription).
When to use
- You're estimating whether Free's 60 minutes will cover your task.
- You don't understand why a new session won't start.
- You want to know whether minutes are consumed in private no-logs mode.
- You're comparing capabilities (KB / multi-screenshot / System Design / frontier) across plans.
How minutes are counted
- The duration of speech recognition in an active session is counted — the time during which Whisperer is transcribing.
- No-logs (ephemeral) mode consumes minutes. Even if the transcript and answers aren't written to the database and are deleted after the session, the time spent counts against the quota (the
no_logs_minutes_usedcounter). Privacy doesn't mean "free." - Bonus minutes can be granted separately (e.g., via promo codes or promotions) and are added to your available balance.
- Free quota reset is monthly: 60 minutes are renewed at the start of a new period.
What happens when the quota runs out (Free)
- The current session ends normally — it isn't cut off mid-sentence (a soft limit).
- A new session can't be started until minutes become available: a new month on Free, granted bonus minutes, or signing up for a paid subscription (where minutes are unlimited).

Frontier models (the top ones: Claude Opus, flagship GPT, etc.) — only on Max. Access to the core (sessions, knowledge base) requires an active paid subscription; the full table of prices and periods is in Plans.

Common mistakes
- "The session won't start." On Free, the month's 60 minutes have run out. Wait for a new period, use bonus minutes, or sign up for a paid subscription.
- "I'm in no-logs, why were minutes deducted?" No-logs hides data, but time is still consumed — it's a privacy mode, not unlimited.
- Expecting an instant cutoff. The limit is soft: the current session is carried through to the end, only starting a new one is blocked.
- No knowledge base / System Design on Free. These capabilities require a paid plan.
Best practices
- On Free, plan sessions to fit the 60-minutes-per-month limit — for regular calls, switch to an unlimited paid plan.
- For sensitive meetings, use no-logs, keeping in mind that minutes are consumed.
- If you need frontier models and unlimited minutes — that's the Max plan.
- Watch the minutes counter in the cabinet before an important call so the session doesn't have to be interrupted.
